Danantara has finalized the merger of seven state-owned logistics firms, marked by the signing of a Shareholders Agreement and Deed of Merger on Tuesday (06/30).  The consolidation was driven by the need to streamline firms that had previously operated separately, expand their scale of operations, and eliminate service overlaps. The integration of resources across the companies is expected to create a larger operational scale, improve operational efficiency, and reduce duplicated functions and costs. The deal is an important milestone in the realization of the National State-Owned Logistics Consolidation initiated by DAM.

S&P Global Ratings maintains Indonesia's long-term credit rating at BBB with a stable outlook and its short-term sovereign credit rating at A-2. The recent economic downturn is considered temporary due to external pressures, especially the increase in global energy prices and the depreciation of rupiah. S&P anticipates that conditions will improve gradually, supported by high commodity prices, greater government spending efficiency, and reforms in natural resource management. However, the sovereign rating could be lowered if net government debt continues to swell, the fiscal deficit exceeds 3% of GDP, interest expenses surpass 15% of government revenue, or exports weaken structurally.

President Prabowo Subianto accepted the resignation and appointed Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti as acting governor pursuant to Bank Indonesia law, with Destry affirming that monetary policy and rupiah stabilization remain unchanged. Economists and foreign media pointed out that the process of selecting a new governor will be closely monitored, with the outcome viewed as a benchmark of Bank Indonesia's independence and its ability to sustain investors' confidence.
